Max Clifford Reveals Kerry Katona's Fears

Max Clifford, publicist for Kerry Katona, spoke to GMTV this morning about how Kerry Katona is coping after being burgled at knife point at her home in Cheshire. “She’s been sobbing uncontrollably and shaking and she’s in a real state” he said.

Continuing, he explained “When she was a young girl, she had to pull a knife out of her mother’s leg that her mother’s partner had plunged in at the time. But she’s always had a real fear of knives. Even in the kitchen, the knives are covered up. So it’s bad enough for anybody of course, but for her it was even worse, she has a real phobia about knives. As Mark (her husband) said to me, if it had been a gun - as ridiculous as that sounds - it wouldn’t have been as frightening for Kerry.”

Kerry is currently staying with family members and is not ready to return to the family home yet. “When I spoke to her yesterday, she said ‘I just can’t face going back. This was a dream and now it’s a nightmare.’ “
