Shilpa Shetty’s perfume raises thousands for charity

Shilpa Shetty’s new perfume, S2 raised an amazing £15,000 for CRY (funds are deployed in India to benefit underprivileged Indian children and local causes) at a special charity auction, held on Saturday 3rd November 2007.

Topping the auction items, including a diamond & ruby necklace and Cartier watch, the fragrance proceeds will be used towards restoring to underprivileged Indian children their basic rights to – survival, protection, development and participation.

Fashion tycoon Danni Passi purchased the fragrance and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty attended the event to lend her support for a worthwhile cause, that’s close to her heart.

Shilpa says “I’m amazed and delighted that my fragrance, S2 has raised such an amazing amount for CRY (Child Rights and You). The proceeds of my fragrance and proceeds of the entire auction will make a real difference to the lives of underprivileged Indian children.”
