Kelly Brook sizzles as 2008’s hottest beach body

With her stunning smile and curvaceous good looks, British beauty queen Kelly Brook has topped the stakes for this year’s hottest female celebrity beach body, according to a new poll of more than 1,500 fans by MSN Life & Style.

The curvaceous stunner received over a third (37%) of British votes, narrowly squeezing past Girls Aloud and X-Factor personality Cheryl Cole (35%) while celebrity actress and model Gemma Atkinson fell behind in third place with 16% of the votes. When it comes to fashion icon Kate Moss, Brits seem to prefer her being queen of the catwalk rather than the boardwalk with only 3% voting for her as best female beach body.

As far as male beach bodies are concerned, Manchester United’s bronzed superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo takes the crown. The right winger narrowly outshone Bond star Daniel Craig (35%) for best male beach body with 36% of votes. And despite his appearance in the Beijing Olympics closing ceremony, Beckham could only manage a bronze, securing third place with 22% of the vote.

Worst Beach Moments

It’s not all hot bods on the celebrity beach body front. Coming in with equal votes (26%) for 2008’s worst beach moment were ex-lothario Jack Nicholson’s man boobs and Russell Brand’s ponytail and tight swimmers combo. England’s football manager Fabio Capello’s also fared badly, with over one in five (21%) thinking he had the worst beach moment with his tight Speedos that left little to the imagination.

He may be turning 50 this week, but fans are definitely not celebrating the King of Pop’s beach body! 40% voted Michael Jackson the celebrity they’d least like to see in their swimmers, while robust Radio One DJ Chris Moyles (22%) and super skinny singer Amy Winehouse (20%) followed close behind.

When it comes to general beach turn-offs, over half (55%) of Brits found overly skinny beach revellers off-putting and other pet peeves were men in tight trunks (13%) and streaky fake tan (13%).

While Kelly Brook is a natural winner for the female body beautiful crown, over-bronzed Ronaldo coming up trumps for best male beach body is a bit more surprising.’’
