Cheryl Cole voted nation's top style icon

Cheryl, 25, recently told heat: “Women think that men think you look best all dolled up – but as a band Girls Aloud are always so dressed up, so I’m preferred in my trackie with my hair up and no make-up. My work gear is most peoples going out for dinner look – so it’s the other way round.”
Super skinny Cheryl added: “I’ve got a new fondness or high-waisted jeans because they make my legs look longer.”
Newlywed Coleen Rooney has the edge over fellow WAG Victoria Beckham who limped in at fourth spot ahead of Sex & The City fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker.
Best friends Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton both made it in to the top ten. Curvaceous Holly, who loves vintage fashion, took sixth place, while fellow TV presenter Fearne came in at number nine, just above pop princess Kylie Minogue.
Supermodel Kate Moss and TV presenter Alexa Chung FAILED to make the top ten, as did tabloid favourites Peaches Geldof and Lily Allen.
Unsurprisingly glamour model Jodie Marsh took the Worst Dressed Celebrity prize. She was closely followed by reality star Kerry Katona and former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton.
Sultry singer Duffy was voted Favourite Fashion Newcomer by 28.5 per cent of those polled beating I Kissed a Girl singer Katy Perry and High School Musical stars Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.
Celebrity offspring keen to prove they’re just as stylish as their famous parents include Lourdes Ciccone, Coco Sumner and Georgia May Jagger, who all made an appearance in the top ten fashion newcomers list.
David Beckham fared better than wife Victoria. Beckham, now a worldwide fashion icon, was voted Best Dressed Male with 32 per cent of the vote. He beat actors George Clooney and Brad Pitt. Our very own TV totty Dermot O’Leary and Steve Jones went up against the Hollywood heavyweights ranking third and fifth place respectively.
Pete Burns was voted Worst Dressed Male with nearly half of all votes (48%) closely followed by grungy Pete Doherty (27%). Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Ferderline came in at third, above high-trousered Simon Cowell and outlandish talkshow host Jonathan Ross.
R ‘n’ B sensation Rhianna has the Best Celebrity Haircut, with Xtra Factor presenter Holly Willoughby at a close second and Katie Holmes in third. Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding’s blonde crop saw her come in at eighth position, five places above ginger bandmate Nicola Roberts.
heat Editor, Julian Linley commented: “"The heat survey has really highlighted the insatiable appetite that the heat reader has for fashion and more to the point the latest celebrity fashions and trends.
