Apprentice Claire puts on her running shoes for Women's Aid
Claire Young, runner up on series five of the BBC business reality show 'The Apprentice', is currently preparing to take on her biggest challenge since facing Sir Alan Sugar in the boardroom; by taking part in the British 10K London Run to raise money for Women's Aid.The British 10K London Run takes place on Sunday 12th July 2009 and will see over 25,000 people racing over a gruelling course that takes in some of London's most historic landmarks. Claire will join
18 other runners as part of the Women's Aid team, who are taking part to help raise funds to support women and children affected by domestic violence.
Claire, who first started supporting Women's Aid after she shot to fame in The Apprentice last year, has been following a strict training plan to help her prepare for the race. She said:
"Taking part in the British 10K London Run for Women's Aid means that I have an added motivation to keep up my fitness regime. Knowing that by taking part I will be raising money to keep abused women and children safe will keep me going and spur me on to reach the finishing line!"

"We are so grateful to Claire for taking part, with two women being killed every week by their partner or ex-partner we urgently need funds to provide our lifesaving services."
