Design Jenson’s British Grand Prix Lid

Honda’s British Formula One Racing Driver Jenson Button is a brave man as he will be wearing a crash helmet designed by one of his fans during the British Grand Prix. In association with Autocar magazine and the Honda Racing F1 Team, Jenson has launched a competition for fans to design his new look helmet by clicking on to jensonbutton.com and getting creative with the specially designed helmet designer application tools.

“I will be choosing the winning design at the beginning of June and I’m really impressed with the standard of entries so far. It’s going to be a difficult decision. However it is important I make the right decision as after the race I will be donating the helmet to one of the charities which I am a Patron of, the ‘Make A Wish’ foundation. The helmet will then be put up for auction at a fundraising event.

The winning artist will get to meet Jenson at the British Grand Prix and receive a pair of grandstand tickets for the British Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone on 4-6 July 2008 and will also receive a subscription copy of Autocar magazine.

Make a Wish Foundation grants magical wishes to children and young people with life threatening illnesses. At any one time there are over 20,000 children and young people suffering with life threatening conditions.

Autocar magazine is published weekly by Haymarket Magazines Limited. Launched in November 1895, it is the world’s oldest motoring title, is published in 18 countries and is read by an exclusive audience of enthusiasts and car buyers.
