Beth Nielsen Chapman To Perform At St Paul's

8th November 2006 Print
Beth Nielsen Chapman The acclaimed singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman is to perform at St Paul's Cathedral, joined by the London Oriana Choir. The performance will form part of a special Evening Service in the Cathedral on Sunday 19 November, celebrating the work of modern-day peacemakers.

Beth Nielsen Chapman is one of the pre-eminent singer-songwriters of her generation. Along with her own recordings, her songs - covered by a wide selection of artists - top the charts on television and in movie soundtracks, including Faith Hill’s Grammy nominated mega-hit “This Kiss”, ASCAP'S 1999 Song Of The Year.

Lead by Canon Edmund Newell, the service will tell the stories, in words and music, of three people of faith whose courageous efforts have made an impact in our world and inspired others in the pursuit of peace and justice: Nobel Peace Prize winners Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Aung San Suu Kyi and Jody Williams.

All are welcome to attend the service, which will be in aid of PeaceJam, an international organisation that promotes peace initiatives among young people.

The Sunday Evening Service at St Paul’s begins at 6pm. There will be a retiring collection in aid of PeaceJam.
