Idlewild Will Tour UK In 2007

The album will be preceded with a single ‘No Emotion’ a week earlier and both will be released on their new label Sequel.
The band recorded the album over a month in Edinburgh with long time producer Dave Eringa, and sees a return to a rockier sound reminiscent of earlier releases. Taken from the new album, ‘If It Takes You Home’ was released as a 7” plus download only release last week - which the NME described as a ‘virulent gut-punch of a comeback …a Pixies-flecked ramalama rock blastathon’.
Idlewild, who consist of Roddy Woomble (vocals), Rod Jones (guitar), Allan Stewart (guitar), Gareth Russell (bass) and Colin Newton (drums) released their first single in 1997 on their own label and have gone on to enjoy 12 top 40 singles over the last decade.
The single ‘No Emotion’ is released 19th February, and the album ‘Make Another World’ is out on 26th February.
