The Coolest Wedding Venue In Town

On Wednesday 27th December, belowzero Restaurant & Lounge and Absolut Icebar London will be hosting their first ever wedding! The proud couple will wed in the only venue in the heart of London to allow marriages in temperatures of minus 5 degrees.

The ceremony will take place in Absolut Icebar London with the Bride, Groom, Priest and witnesses only. Following, they will retire to belowzero Restaurant & Lounge where the wedding party and guests will enjoy Champagne, Canapés and cocktails.

belowzero Restaurant & Lounge will take on a winter wonderland theme in decoration, created by Carly Rogers to compliment the actual wedding ceremony.

The couple will toast their marriage with a Champagne cocktail in an ice glass called ‘Absolut Wedded Bliss’ which includes Absolut Raspberri and fresh strawberries - definitely the coolest Champagne cocktail you will find in London, created by Absolut Icebar London General Manager, Danny Kwaitkowski.

Award winning Chef, Dimitry Rode has devised a luscious canapé menu which includes such delights as Seared Foie Gras with Clove Pear chutney, Oscietra Caviar on Sweet Potato blinis with crème fraiche and Rare roast Reindeer fillet with Red Current preserve. There will also be a tiered Wedding cake decorated in the colours of the Bride’s flowers.

Fabrizio D’Eposito (Head bartender) has put his mixology skills to pertinent use by choosing and creating some dreamy cocktails such as the White Chocolate Martini – Absolut Vanilia based and served in a cocoa dusted Martini glass with mini marshmallows.
A DJ will then take to the decks to serenade the couple into married life while they share this unique memorable day with their guests.

Absolut Icebar London is located at 31-33 Heddon Street in London’s West End.

All of the venue’s ice comes from the Torne River in northern Sweden. The purity of the water makes the ice extremely transparent, with the freezing process creating the remarkable crystal clear ice. The ice is harvested from the Torne River and transported all the way to Central London.

Absolut Icebar can also be found in Jukkasjärvi (where there is an Ice Church and weddings have been taking place for years), Stockholm, Milan and more recently Tokyo.
