West Londoners Are Most Sociable

A survey of CitySocialising.com’s members reveals that West Londoners form an impressive 39% of their membership base. South Londoners are a close second with 37%, but East Londoners are the opposite extreme making up only 11% of members.
Platonic socials in the city are becoming increasingly popular as newcomers to the Capital seek to kick-start their social life and others look to expand their social networks and meet people they have something in common with.
City workers are also proving to be very sociable with four in every ten people who use CitySocialising.com working there. According to CitySocialising.com, an online and offline London social networking service for young professionals, the answer lies in people with busy jobs having less time to organise their social lives and less opportunities to meet new people.
Sanchita Saha, founder of CitySocialising.com says: “The idea came from understanding the difficulty people face in forging new friendships when moving to the Capital or to a new area of the city. Making new friends in your 20s and 30s, especially in a vast city like London and organising your social life with work and time constraints can be hard to do.
“People want to meet in a platonic, relaxed and informal way. We are helping people make the most of the brilliant city they live in and form new London social networks of like minded friends and contacts at the same time.”
24-year-old Laura Babb from West London says: “I have been in London for around three years but I was in a long term relationship most of this time so I hadn’t made nearly enough effort to meet people and make new friends. My social life is more important to me now than ever before and CitySocialising.com has been a really easy and laid-back way to make good friends in London.”
31-year-old City worker Dino Purnomo says: “London is a great city with so many people and so much to offer but I find I’m just too busy to sort out my social life. In my case, a number of friends have moved abroad too and I'd like to expand my circle of friends so I can make the most of living here. CitySocialising.com provides me with a friendly and un-intimidating way to socialise with new people and explore more of London’s social scene at the same time.”
CitySocialising.com is the only social networking company to operate across the whole of London. The service enables young professionals to connect, meet and socialise in groups at regular days and nights out and discover new parts of the city.
With over 3,500 members and growing, online services such as CitySocialising.com offer busy career workers the chance to make the most of living in one of the world’s most famous capitals.
