Chelsea Art Fair 2007

Penman Fairs are pleased to announce that they have drawn together over forty UK and international galleries to exhibit work by leading artists at Chelsea Art Fair 2007. The fair will run from 19th – 22nd April at London’s Chelsea Old Town Hall, and its relaxed and personalised environment provides an excellent opportunity to see and buy a huge variety of work ranging from paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and ceramics by more than five hundred artists.

Chelsea Art Fair is renowned as an intimate fair featuring a fine selection of both Modern British and contemporary art from 1930 to the present. Since its inception twelve years ago, it has built a strong reputation for both the quality of the work and the diversity.

For 2007 Penman Fairs are proud to have drawn together over forty UK and international galleries to exhibit the work by leading artists. They are also pleased to announce the participation of several new galleries this year, making 2007 a must see event for new and loyal regular visitors alike.

The relaxed and personalised environment of the four day fair provides an excellent opportunity to see and buy a huge variety of work ranging from paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture and ceramics by more than five hundred artists. Prices for work on display range from £50 to £30,000.

Major exhibitors for 2007 include:

The Court Gallery
Features works by the Newlyn School and St. Ives School, the Camden Town Group, the London Group and Bloomsbury. Highlights at Chelsea will include work by Kenneth Martin, Henri Gaudier-Brzeska and Walter Richard Sickert.

The Fine Art Partnership
The Fine Art Partnership deal exclusively in original works of art on paper by established masters of Modern and contemporary art. Original etchings, lithographs, engravings and screenprints from artists such as David Hockney, Tracey Emin, Patrick Caulfield, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and Henri Matisse among others, will be available at Chelsea.

Gallery Breheret
Gallery Breheret’s focus is 20th century classic contemporary sculptures and paintings. They represent many French artists including French sculptor José-Maria David, renowned for his magnificent bronzes.

Manya Igel Fine Arts
Manya Igel is recognised as one of Britain’s leading dealers in Modern British Art with judicious acquisitions and a keen eye for top quality. Artists include Julian Bailey, Frederick Gore, Alfred Daniels and Susan Ryder.

Quantum Contemporary Art
Specialise in contemporary figurative paintings and drawings including beautiful work by Japanese painter Atsuko Fujii and Cloé Cloherty; whose landscapes and nudes have great power and vitality.
