Electric Soft Parade - Live Dates & Album

16th January 2007 Print
Electric Soft Parade Electric Soft Parade will preview material from their forthcoming album at a handful of live dates in February. Hot on the heels of two critically acclaimed albums as one half of funk punksters Brakes, brothers Tom and Alex White return with a third Electric Soft Parade album ‘No Need To Be Downhearted’ set for release on Truck Records in the Spring.

A step on from the convention breaking ‘prog-pop’ of Mercury Nominated debut Holes In The Wall and growling, futuristic rock of American Adventure, the new album’s melange of winsome melody and killer riffs is once again characterised by ESP’s restless approach to musical formula and construct.

Perhaps most remarkable of this new record, is its arrival at a time of such prodigious musical activity for the White brothers. Aside from Brakes and Electric Soft Parade, Alex has taken the producers chair for noise-harmonists Actress Hands, and Tom has been drumming for Brighton pastoral electronica group Restlesslist.

Catch a sneak preview of Electric Soft Parade’s infectious new record at the following live shows:

9th Feb - Brighton, Cable Club,
10th Feb - London, Club Frog at Mean Fiddler,
12th Feb - Oxford, Zodiac
13th Feb - Bedford, Esquire
