The Royal Ballet: Timecode

16th February 2007 Print
Timecode 00:00:00:00 Timecode is an exciting theatrical experience featuring wonderful dancing, music, drama, comedy and even a sprinkling of science. Will Tuckett’s revival is performed by four members of The Royal Ballet; Leanne Cope, Romany Pajdak, Joshua Tuifua and Henry St Clair alongside actor Paul Ryan and four musicians.

Using ingenious designs by Robin Husband the cast and musicians travel from the stage to the far reaches of time, space and the universe.

Perfect for children aged seven years and above and adults to enjoy together. Timecode is a unique take on time – wrong time, lost time, right time, quality time and real time. Potty scientist Professor Deeply Dullish hits trouble when an experiment in time travel goes wrong. A group of visitors from a distant planet arrive to help out taking him on an epic journey across time and space in search of a missing five minutes.

After each 45 minute performance, there will be a short question and answer session with performers and stage staff.

There will also be special family workshops in each venue for children and their parents to learn more about some of the themes in Timecode and join in some creative music and movement activities.

Timecode was created by choreographer Will Tuckett and composer Martin Ward, the same team behind the hugely popular and highly acclaimed Wind in the Willows and Pinocchio.
