Isle Of Wight Festival 07 Line-Up Announced

The Isle of Wight Festival is back with a big British bang for 2007 and boasts a line up every bit as stunning as its surroundings! Taking place over 3 days on 8th, 9th & 10th June at Seaclose Park, this year’s festival will bring together some of the finest live acts of our time, including headline performances by the biggest selling band of 2006, Snow Patrol and Best Live Act Brit Award winners Muse.
Now in its sixth year, festival organisers Solo have set the standard for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival, which traditionally kicks off the festival season in style! Kings of the rock ‘n’ roll scene Kasabian will appear as special guests on the Saturday whilst GQ’s Band of the Year Keane will wow the 50,000 strong crowd as they take to the stage as special guests on Sunday.
Also appearing on the stellar line up throughout the weekend are Best British Female Brit Award winner Amy Winehouse, Best British Male Brit Award winner James Morrison and Best British Breakthrough Brit Award winners The Fratellis together with a host of the hottest newcomers around including Paolo Nutini, Wolfmother and The Feeling. With more acts to be announced including the Sunday night headliner, the Isle of Wight Festival is set to be sizzling this summer!
Festival promoters Solo said: “Bands love coming to the island and feeling the tradition. Tennyson was right about it's magical quality.”
Friday night headliners Snow Patrol were the biggest selling band of 2006 selling over 1.5 million copies of ‘Eyes Open’. Before their huge stateside success, the Irish foursome first performed at the festival back in 2005 and we are proud to welcome them back for what is set to be an unmissable headline performance.
Ahead of their string of sold out Wembley Stadium shows and fresh from winning a trio of awards for Best Live Act at the recent Q Awards, MTV Awards and Brit Awards 2007, the almighty Muse will do what they do best as they perform live as Isle of Wight Festival headliners on the Saturday.
Muse said: “The past year has been truly amazing for us and performing live is what we’re all about. Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played the festival back in the 70’s. It’s steeped in history and we cant wait to be a part of that.”
