M People To Play Forest Tour Shows

Heather Small M People, the clubland favourites that went on to become one of the most successful UK dance acts ever, will be appearing at four picturesque forest locations this summer as part of the Forestry Commission’s annual ‘Forest Tour’. They are recognised as the first mainstream dance act to marry the excitement of house music to the traditional pop virtues of crafted songs and strong melodies.

Amongst many accolades, M People collected a Brit Award for Best British Dance Act and a Mercury Music Prize for their classic album ‘Elegant Slumming’. A string of top ten hits including ‘One Night In Heaven’, ‘Moving On Up’, ‘How Can I Love You More?’, ‘Don’t Look Any Further’, ‘Renaissance’, ‘Sight For Sore Eyes’, ‘Just For You’, ‘Search For A Hero’ and ‘Open Your Heart’ became part of the soundtrack of The Nineties.

The shows will be supporting The Forestry Commission’s valuable social and environmental programmes.

Tickets are £25.50 (subject to booking fee) for all shows and go on general sale from 9.00am on Fri 9th March.

Sunday 24 June: Dalby Forest, Nr Thornton Le Dale, North York Moors
Friday 13 July: High Lodge, Thetford Forest, Santon Downham, Suffolk
Sunday 22 July: Westonbirt National Arboretum, Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
