Ben Taylor - Special Guest To Chris Isaak

Described by critics as “showing a talent that is undeniable and winning”, Ben Taylor does exactly that. Having released his Radio 2 mainstay single ‘Nothing I Can Do’ this week and recently announced a major headline tour, the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter will be special guest to Chris Isaak on his forthcoming UK live shows.

Featuring London’s Hammersmith Apollo on April 20th, the full list of dates is:

2006 was one of Ben Taylor’s most successful years to date - he toured Europe with Tracy Chapman, wowed London audiences with his stripped-down showcases and released his remarkable album ‘Another Run Around The Sun’ to a wealth of critical acclaim, ultimately being hailed as Radio 2’s LP of the Week.

Written by Ben Taylor, ’Nothing I Can do’ is the first single to be taken from the LP and glows with its melody-charged allure. Boasting prodigiously gifted violinist Sophie Solomon, it was recorded in London’s RAK studios and is produced by Kevin Bacon & Jonathan Quarmby. Available on 7” vinyl and CD, it features two stunning B-sides – a striking interpretation of Portishead’s ‘Glory Box’ and a stripped-down acoustic version of ‘Nothing I Can Do’, which presents Ben’s soulful vocals at their purest.

Although his lineage may garner attention, it’s only Ben himself who can deliver his sound. “The main thing connections like that does is actually very positive. It turns people’s heads and gets you attention, but you really need to be prepared with something worth listening too. Right now, I feel ready.”

Ben’s solo UK tour begins in Dublin on May 18th and features a show at London’s Bush Hall on June 6th. The details are:
