Black Sabbath Reunite For UK Tour

29th March 2007 Print
Black Sabbath Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Vinny Appice have reunited as Heaven And Hell and are embarking on a major tour of UK Arenas in November. Tickets for the unique opportunity to see this classic lineup reunited for the first time in 15 years, go on sale on Friday 30th March.

On April 9th, Rhino Records will release the first comprehensive introduction to the lineup’s vastly overlooked legacy, ‘Black Sabbath, The Dio Years’, featuring a dozen classic studio recordings, one live track and three new songs, especially recorded late in 2006 for inclusion on this compilation.

The compilation spotlights Dio's time with Black Sabbath, drawing heavily from the group's 1980 record ‘Heaven And Hell’ and its 1981 follow-up, ‘Mob Rules’.

With these albums now recognized as back-to-back metal classics, this compilation features such signature songs as ‘Neon Knights’, ‘Die Young’, ‘Turn Up The Night’, ‘Voodoo’, and, of course, the title tracks of both albums. ‘The Dio Years’ also features ‘After All (The Dead)’, ‘TV Crimes’ and ‘I’ from the singer's brief reunion with Sabbath for the ‘Dehumanizer’ album and tour.

On April 16th, Rhino will release one of the new tracks, ‘The Devil Cried’, as a download only single. Heaven And Hell, who sold out their March 30th New York Radio City show in minutes, will play the following shows:-

November 4th - Newcastle Metro Arena
