Extra Date For An Evening With Rufus Wainwright

Rufus Wainwright Due to overwhelming public demand, critically acclaimed singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright has announced a third new London date to his forthcoming UK shows – the 3rd to be added in less than 2 weeks.

Showcasing his eagerly awaited new album ‘Release The Stars’ with a 7-piece band including a horn section, he’ll now play London’s legendary Old Vic on June 1st as well as May 27th, 28th, 29th and 31st.

The 7 keenly awaited shows follow the LP ‘Release The Stars’ on May 14th, and the politically punchy first single ‘Going To A Town’ on April 30th (i-Tunes package, May 7th).

A 12-track masterclass in songwriting and production, it’s undoubtedly one of the albums of 2007.

Written and produced by Rufus, Neil Tennant is the album’s executive producer while long-time collaborators Marius de Vries and Andy Bradfield mixed it.

Rufus will also perform at America’s Coachella Festival, April 27th.
