Bryan Ferry Announces Second Night At Tower Festival

21st May 2007 Print
Bryan Ferry Due to huge demand, Bryan Ferry has confirmed a second show at the Tower Music Festival for July 3rd. The shows are hot off the back of his Dylan tribute album ‘Dylanesque’ which was released in March.

Tickets are on sale now and as with all other nights, tickets will be available from Aeglive.co.uk.

Over 15 nights this summer, the world’s most recognisable heritage site, the Tower of London will be transformed into a musical institution as artists from the world of rock, pop and opera come together for the Tower Music Festival. Set in the heart of the capital with fantastic artists including: Elvis Costello, Joe Cocker, James Morrison, Seal, the Gipsy Kings, Katherine Jenkins, Bryn Terfel, Paul Anka and Dave Stewart – this year’s festival will whet the appetites of the culturally savvy, with more artists still to be announced.

The Tower Music Festival will open on the 28th June with a star-studded charity gala event in association with ICM Models. Supermodels from around the world including Helena Christensen and Erin O’Connor will take to the catwalk in this unique one-off fashion show along with some of the hottest and most talked about new faces wearing some iconic outfits in what will simply be London’s strongest ever runway show.

The festival will continue its brilliant line-up with the Gipsy Kings bringing their distinctive modern flamenco sound back to London for a welcome return. Bryan Ferry will perform on 2nd and 3rd July, followed by UK rock legend, Joe Cocker, famed for his Oscar-winning 'Up Where We Belong' with Jennifer Warnes and as one of the few artists to play Woodstock in both '69 and '94.

Opera sensation Katherine Jenkins and Classical Brit Award winner Bryn Terfel will both perform a night each, as will Brit Award winning chart sensation James Morrison. The legendary Seal will make his much-anticipated live comeback, and British music giant Elvis Costello will also take to the stage for an evening with New Orleans R&B songwriter and artist Allen Toussaint and also featuring Steve Nieve. Closing the Tower Music Festival will be Dave Stewart - one half of the legendary Eurythmics and a man who Bob Dylan described as a "fearless innovator".

After many years of writing and producing hundreds of classic songs known all over the world, Dave Stewart has put together a spectacular group of musicians and a 30 piece orchestra to perform and showcase some of his amazing catalogue of work.

More than just a series of concerts, the Tower Music Festival is an all-encompassing cultural experience. Set in the historic Tower Moat and surrounded by such London icons as Tower Bridge and the River Thames, fans are able to enjoy the jovial and laid back feel of a festival on their doorstep while absorbing the history that surrounds them. Festival-goers will be able to enjoy picnics in the grounds of the Tower while corporate hospitality will be available inside its ancient rooms with menus created by Michelin-starred chef Gary Rhodes.

Celebrate the summer in style with the Tower Music Festival and enjoy its inspired execution of the best music and culture that London has to offer.
