Elvis Plays The Palladium

9th July 2007 Print
Elvis On August 16th 2007, it will amazingly be 30 years since the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley, passed away. To mark this sad anniversary a fantastic memorial concert at The London Palladium is being staged on Sunday August 12th with all proceeds going to The Institute of Cancer Research.

Elvis himself was an incredibly generous man and is estimated to have given half has fortune away to charitable organisations and specifically supported cancer charities throughout his lifetime.

Show organiser and fellow Elvis fan, Jayne Connor said, "If you always wanted to see Elvis live then this will be your ideal opportunity. Our show will be the best and most authentic in the United Kingdom and we will ensure that our memorial to such a legend is a huge success."

The show called 'Return of the Kings' is organised by Déjà Vu Productions and the Rotary Club of Long Eaton and also features a tribute to the man whom Elvis described as "The Greatest singer in the world" Roy Orbison. This will form the first part of the evening, before an awe-inspiring recreation of Elvis' greatest concert "Aloha from Hawaii' in the second half.

This will feature the STCB Band (Still Taking Care of Business) who are look-alikes of Elvis' original members and will all be in replica costumes.

Alison Morgan from The Institute of Cancer Research said, "We are so delighted that we will receive proceeds from such an amazing show. It certainly plans to be the most important event to mark Elvis' anniversary in the United Kingdom."

For those of you who are true Elvis fans and who can't go to Memphis to pay your respects to your idol, make a pilgrimage to London instead, and commemorate him in style. Don't miss out on the chance to be part of this once in a lifetime experience.

Ticket prices: from £20.00 - £35.00
