Have You Got The Talent To Get An Audience Hooked?

The Nuffield team will hold open auditions to find talented young performers able to sing, act and move in time to music. We need plenty of Lost Boys and Girls, boys to play John and Michael Darling, and 15-18 year-olds to play pirates. No previous stage experience is necessary, but genuine enthusiasm and commitment are essential.
The production, adapted and directed by Nuffield Theatre Artistic Director Patrick Sandford, will take the form of a magical re-telling of the classic JM Barrie story that is guaranteed to captivate both adults and children.
Julie Bisco, Company Stage Manager at The Nuffield, commented, “This is a really exciting opportunity for talented youngsters, who will get the chance to work alongside a professional cast on the main stage in the biggest-selling production of the season. It’s also a great opportunity for the Nuffield to introduce itself to a new generation of young performers.”
Auditions will be held at the theatre in two sessions on Saturday 22 September, the first from 9.30am-11.30am (with recalls until 12.30pm for the parts of John and Michael), the second from 1.30pm-3.30pm (with recalls until 4.30pm for the parts of John and Michael). Auditionees will be required to sing Happy Birthday, and to demonstrate an ability to move in rhythm and speak lines loudly and clearly.
Successful performers will work in three teams of ten, with each team performing on two days a week, Tuesday- Sunday, throughout the run. They will need to be available for evening workshops on 1 October, 16 October, 1 November and 10 November, rehearsals from 12-24 November, and for production week and performances from 26 November to 12 January.
