The time of your life

4th October 2007 Print
Dirty Dancing Dirty Dancing has become a cult favourite since Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey first starred in the hit 1987 film. It won critical acclaim, Golden Globes and the soundtrack topped the charts with the theme tune, (I've Had) The Time Of My Life, winning an Oscar for best original song and becoming one of the era’s most performed songs and a ubiquitous radio staple.

Now, in this thrilling concert which comes to Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Friday 26th October, all the songs from the enduringly popular film are backed by an 8-piece band and performed by Michael Quinn and Laura Brydon and a sensational ensemble. Anyone who has ever sung along to these classic hits will be swept up in this evocative mix of feel-good tunes.

Where in the world can you get such a great combination of old and new and enjoy it so much? That's what “The Music of Dirty Dancing” offers: a little bit of something for everyone. The original movie without the music would have just been a movie - but it's the music that made it a hit!

Drag the men along or go with the girls but whatever you do, get a ticket!
