English National Ballet kicks off Christmas season The Snow Queen launches English National Ballet’s Christmas season. The Company’s first new full-length ballet for a decade, Michael Corder’s all-British show, designed by Mark Bailey, will be launched with a star-studded pre-show party on Wednesday 12 December at St Martins Lane Hotel. Following the performance of The Snow Queen guests will move to Amy Sacco’s new London club Bungalow 8.

Guests will be offered a selection of festive cocktails specially created by Snow Queen Vodka to showcase the super-premium 100% organic vodka that’s five times distilled from Kazakhstan.

The event will have added sparkle with decorations by costume sponsor Swarovski, and guests will meet the stars from The Snow Queen and be given a goody bag full of Christmas treats from Snow Queen Vodka, St Martins Lane Hotel and Swarovski.

The Snow Queen is the curtain-raiser of English National Ballet’s Christmas at the Coliseum season, which also features the return of The Nutcracker and Derek Deane’s unforgettable Swan Lake, recently seen at Concert for Diana.

Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s timeless fairy tale, The Snow Queen (11 - 16 December) is ballet on a grand scale; the magical costumes sparkle with Swarovski crystals and, together with Prokofiev’s glorious music, create a glittering, magical spectacle. English National Ballet’s 64 dancers bring this wintry fairy tale to life as young friends Kay and Gerda battle against the evil Snow Queen and her magic mirror.
