Leading online travel and leisure retailer lastminute.com is offering 50% off theatre tickets throughout the month of May. The number one distributor of West End Theatre tickets, lastminute.com sold more than one million theatre tickets last year, with year to date sales in 2008 better than those in 2007.lastminute.com theatre tickets prices start from £5 for Monty Python Spamalot at the Palace Theatre.
Romeo and Juliet in Hyde Park’s Open Air Theatre start from only £9.50, while tickets to long-standing West End hit Buddy at the Duchess Theatre start from only £10.
Cabaret leads in at a mere £15.
All shows are included including Lion King (£20.50), Sound of Music (£22.50) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (£22.50).
To promote the campaign lastminute.com has produced a viral ad campaign

The characters – which include cleaners, airport staff and policemen - performed in front of an audience of stunned holidaymakers waiting for their flights as if they were on a West End stage.
