Tickets have topped in excess of 30,000 to see one of the world’s biggest rock bands bring their Lost Highway tour to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this month. Bon Jovi will be belting out hits such as You Give Love A Bad Name and Livin’ on a Prayer at the £113 million venue on Tuesday, June 24.

The Ricoh Arena will be opening their gates to fans from 4pm as part of the UK leg of the global trip as Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres turn up the June heat.

Bon Jovi, who have played more than 2,500 concerts in over 50 countries, has entertained fans for more than two decades with massive hits including Wanted Dead or Alive, Keep the Faith, Always and Have a Nice Day.

The group is currently promoting their tenth album, Lost Highway, on their world tour which went to the top of The Billboard 200 – the first time that has happened since 1988.

Tickets are still available for the eagerly-anticipated gig in the stadium bowl from the main ticket office in the atrium at the Ricoh from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5pm, or by logging on to Ricoharena.com or Ticketmaster.co.uk.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive at the Ricoh Arena, said the Lost Highway tour would reach the UK on Wednesday, June 11.

“The Ricoh Arena is fast becoming one of the main concert venues in the Midlands and we are pleased to be hosting Bon Jovi’s only Midlands date in 2008,” he said.

“We are delighted with the amount of tickets that have been sold to date and there is certain to be a tremendous atmosphere in the stadium.

“We are opening the ticket office at the Ricoh during the week to enable anyone who hasn’t yet bought their tickets to come along and buy them.

“Bon Jovi is renowned for their amazing stage shows and if you missed them two years ago, I am sure you won’t want to miss out this time around.”

On-site car parking was sold out months ago but there are park-and-walk and park-and-ride spaces available at Christ the King, Wayside Business Park, Coventrians Rugby Club, St Finbars FC and Coventry Airport.

Pre-booking is strongly recommended since the residents’ parking scheme will be in operation within two kilometres of the Ricoh. Log on to the concerts page on ricoharena.com for details and directions to each site.

Concert tickets costing between £40 and £75 can also be bought on-line from the website address above which are subject to booking fees.
