Time to get the beers in!

14th August 2008 Print
Time to get the beers in! Now in its fifth year, Oktoberfest at Bavarian Beerhouse brings the spirit of the ‘Wiesn’ beer festival from Munich to London. A staggering 25,000 guests have taken part in Oktoberfest at Bavarian Beerhouse since the event started in 2004, and this year, 10,000 Londoners are forecast to join the party, taking place seven weekends in a row from 18 September until 1 November 2008.

Guaranteed to be a top night out, musicians will be flying in from all over Germany to recreate an authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere; from oompah bands to folk music and yodelling, there’s something for everyone. Watch the live acts whilst drinking world-famous German beer, served in steins, by the Beerhouse’s friendly team of dirndl-wearing waitresses – or why not sample some of the Bavarian specialities on the food menu?

Don’t miss the Opening Party: Oktoberfest kicks off on Thursday 18 September. The fun starts at 7pm, when the first keg of official Oktoberfest beer is tapped. Celebrations for 2008 will take place seven weekends in a row with live entertainment every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. For a full programme of entertainment, and to book tickets, visit the website - Bavarian-beerhouse.co.uk.

Opening/Closing Times: Wednesday & Thursday 7pm – 11pm; Friday & Saturday 7pm – 1am.
