The Granville @ Barford serves up award winning pub grub

For the second year running The Granville @ Barford has found another reason to celebrate at this year’s Coventry & Warwickshire Food & Drink Awards. The award winning dining pub has been commended in the Best Dining Pub/Inn category announced at the awards ceremony held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 18 November.

Last year The Granville @ Barford scooped two of the prestigious awards in the Coventry & Warwickshire Food & Drink Awards. Being a finalist for a second year is testament to the continued success of the popular dining pub. Val Kersey, Proprietor and her team have worked tirelessly ensuring The Granville maintains its reputation as one of the leading dining pubs in the county. In the last year Val has continued to make further improvements to the building by extending the bar area, refurbishing the rest rooms and improving the kitchen facilities.

Val and her team of Chefs have continually re-developed the menu to reflect the different seasons. The pub is renowned for producing delicious home cooked food using fresh local produce delivered daily by a wide range of local suppliers. The Granville @ Barford has already triumphed in the 2008 Warwickshire Life Food & Drink Awards having won "Most Distinctive Local Menu".

Now in its 7th year, the overall aim of the popular awards scheme continues to champion and reward quality, excellence and the innovative use of local produce and to encourage those within the region to source their supplies locally. This year the awards scheme received more entries than ever before with over 150 businesses and customers attending the awards ceremony.
