Talented opera singer to perform at local pub

As with all live music nights held at The Granville @ Barford, admission is free of charge. Amy will be performing songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Gershwin, Boublil and Schoenberg, Edith Piaf, Lerner and Loewe, Jerome Kern and the group Queen.
Coached by Gaynor Keeble who has worked with many of the country's leading opera companies and orchestras, Amy has performed in shows and concerts all over the UK. In July 2008 Amy performed in The Winter’s Tale at Hall’s Croft in Stratford-upon-Avon and in October 2008 starred as Yum-Yum in the Spa Opera's production of The Mikado to rave reviews.
Over Christmas Amy starred as Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington at the Bridge House Theatre for OTFM Productions. She is currently rehearsing to play Yum Yum again at the Civic Hall in Stratford for the Stratford-upon-Avon Gilbert and Sullivan Society which opens on 10 March.
Performing from a very young age, Amy has many other musical talents. As well as performing ballet, tap and modern theatre dance, she can also play piano, violin and oboe. Amy, whose singing repertoire ranges from Mozart to modern musicals, performs with Andrew Holtom, a well-known Musical Director, accompanist, organist and orchestral percussion player.
Val Kersey, Proprietor of The Granville, stated, “We’re absolutely delighted that Amy will be performing for us at The Granville @ Barford. Amy has a truly amazing voice which is a joy to listen to. Our regular music nights are a great opportunity for people to come along, soak up the atmosphere and hear a number of talented musicians and singers such as Amy for free. As Amy is so popular, I would recommend that people book a table in the restaurant if they want to eat and see the show”.
