Organizers recently confirmed that for the first in its history, Hard Rock Calling 2009 will be a three-day event, making it truly the ultimate festival for London. Hard Rock Calling will kick start on Friday, June 26th, with The Killers headlining the Hyde Park stage with support from The Kooks. Predicted to be one of their most memorable performances to date, The Killers will christen the stage for a number of rock ‘n’ roll icons to follow over the course of the next two days.

Neil Young, undeniably one of the most influential artists in American music, will be the headlining performer on Saturday, June 27th. British rock legends The Pretenders will join Neil Young and other confirmed acts that evening including Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve and Ben Harper, introducing his new band Relentless7.

“The Boss” himself, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, headlines Hard Rock Calling on Sunday, June 28th. Having played a sell-out tour in Europe last year, Bruce Springsteen and The E Street band return to the capital city for a performance that is sure to go down in history as one of Hard Rock Calling’s and Hyde Parks most memorable nights. In addition, American rockers Dave Matthews Band will join in the performance to a sold-out crowd of more than 50,000 fans, along with The Gaslight Anthem.

Hard Rock Calling and Ambassadors of Rock 2009

Hard Rock Calling, the three-day musical celebration being held on June 26th, 27th and 28th, with more than a dozen top bands performing on two stages, has established itself as one of the most important London events on the UK musical calendar over the last three years.
