Find your spirit and discover your cocktail palate

Are you looking at cocktail menus not knowing what to choose? Or do you simply order an old favourite? The mixologists at The Living Room Edinburgh want to help you discover your cocktail palate with a cocktail masterclass with a difference: ‘Discover your palate’ allows guests to create their own cocktails or make subtle changes to old favourites, making them even more delicious.

The classes couldn’t be more personal – having determined their favourite spirit, participants can then develop their own individual cocktail.

Head bartender Ryan Shulski explains: “Our new cocktail masterclasses are truly tailored to the individual, giving them the opportunity to tweak their favourite cocktail or even develop their own concoction from scratch.

“Similar to a wine or a whisky tasting, we ask all participants to smell and taste different cocktail ingredients to find out what they like best and then create a cocktail from these.

“It’s a real journey of discovery and we hope that anyone taking a cocktail masterclass with us leaves knowing exactly what to order on their next visit to a cocktail bar.”

Classes are taught in a hands-on style and all participants have a chance to shake it up behind the bar.

The Living Room’s Cocktail Masterclasses start from only £25 per person and can be arranged flexibly for groups of four or more.
