11th May 2009 Print
The second year of London Songwriters Week brings together the cream of UK songwriting talent through a series of showcases, workshops and performances.

During the week commencing 18th May, LSW aims to help educate, inspire and entertain whilst raising the profile of the incredible songwriting talent in the UK.

This year’s keynote interview is a conversation with Blur bassist, songwriter, bon viveur and not to mention cheese maker Alex James about his songwriting with Blur, Stephen Duffy, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Alison Clarkson and Fat Les.

Alex is also giving his time and name to a £3000 bursary to be awarded to an aspiring songwriter during London Songwriter’s Week 2009.

Places for this event are very limited - for more information about how to register visit londonsongwritersweek.co.uk.
