Dirty Dancing tops the West End charts

8th September 2009 Print
Dirty Dancing’s successful run at the West End continues apace as it tops the charts for theatre breaks over the summer.

The stage production – which had the highest pre-sell ticket sales when it opened in London three years ago – has beaten rivals including We Will Rock You and Billy Elliott on London breaks website show-and-stay.co.uk.

Starring Martin Harvey as Jonny Castle and Leanne Rowe as Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman, the production was first staged in New York and now appears in theatres around the world.

Offering weekend break packages, show-and-stay.co.uk has a free overnight hotel stay for those booking a theatre break until 12 September – including Dirty Dancing from £65 per person.

An extensive choice of some of the West End’s most popular musicals and comedies are included in the offer. Choose from top tickets to new shows like Hairspray, Billy Elliot, La Cage Aux Folles and Calendar Girls as well as old favourites Stomp and Blood Brothers or even recent openings such as Sister Act.

If that weren’t enough, Show and Stay also offers customers a chance to save up to 40 per cent on rail journeys to the capital, as well as unbeatable rates for pre-booked dinner and tickets for many of the city’s greatest attractions.
