Champagne knows no limits in East London
East London’s newest rooftop members club, Eight Moorgate EC2 is to launch a Saturday evening ‘Limitless Taittinger Champagne Menu’.Priced at just £45 for a four course menu from Head Chef’s Richard Lyndon’s international cuisine, guests can choose from dishes ranging from classic to more contemporary fare while sipping on endless Taittinger champagne throughout their meal.
The menu starts with an Amuse Bouche from the chef’s selection; starters include Seared Scallops on Irish Black Pudding with Sauce Vierge, Wild Mushroom Ravioli with Rocket & Pine Nuts. For their main course, guests can choose from dishes such as Duck Leg Confit with Dauphinoise Potatoes, Braised Cabbage & Raisins or Salmon with Crushed Potatoes, Roast Peppers & Fennel.
Pastry Chef Vanessa Antoli has previously worked for Tom Aikens and The Berkeley Hotel and has created an irresistible dessert selection with delights including Elderflower Jelly with Melon Sorbet and Hazelnut Tart with Rhubarb Compote & Rose Cream.
The club’s 90-cover dining room is set against a stunning backdrop of steeples and skyscrapers on the building’s Fifth Floor. There are also two private dining areas, one inside catering up to 14 and also a private chef’s table for a further 16 located on the Fifth Floor dining terrace offering a view straight into the heart of the kitchen.
Set out over two floors and encompassing over 9000 sq.ft, Eight Moorgate EC2 is accessed through a glass lift located behind a discreet entrance in Dysart Street and offers two expansive terraces to enjoy the stunning views over the city. Conveniently located minutes from Liverpool Street and stylish Shoreditch, Eight Moorgate offer a restaurant, members bar and lounge, library, exterior smoking lounge and even an on-site bespoke tailor for their members.
