London Dating Site Launches Video Competition

9th March 2007 Print
SnogLondon.com, London's free dating site, has launched a competition to find the best video submission. To coincide with the launch of its new video facility, SnogLondon is seeking the best clips from members of the site. The winner will be announced and featured on the site on April 1st.

SnogLondon's director, Simon Dale, said: "We think this is a fun way of promoting yourself. We expect most video clips will be creative, mini-shorts, rather than straight to camera shots such as you might see on a more traditional dating channel,' says Simon. "We welcome anything, the good, the bad and the ugly - proof of that is in my own clip. They can be funny, dramatic, moving... as long as its not illegal, abusive or offensive, we're pretty much open to anything."

With mobile phones, in-built cameras in many laptops, and the proliferation of camcorders, most people now have access to the technology to create a video clip. Uploading clips to the profile is a straightforward process and takes only a couple of minutes.
Simon Dale: "We're not trying to be the next YouTube, they do that very successfully, this is just a little fun and we're looking forward to seeing what London has to offer."
