MORE TH>N reports rise in online ‘DIY' divorce

26th August 2009 Print
MORE TH>N Legal Services has seen a rise of 11 % in the amount of divorce petitions being created online over the last year. This is in stark contrast to the decline reported by divorce lawyers yesterday.

The rise in people using MORE TH>N Legal Services to file for divorce suggests that people are realising they can save money in the recession, by dealing with legal affairs themselves.

Annette Lepper, Head of MORE TH>N Legal Services said: "During the recession people are looking for ways to save money, but still want to get on with their lives. A DIY divorce through MORE TH> N Legal Services can save hundreds of pounds in legal fees, and means that people don't have to put their lives on hold because they can't afford solicitor fees."

Customers of MORE TH>N Legal Services can fill in a divorce petition online for free, and then send for it to be checked over by qualified lawyers to make sure it is legally sound.
