Your Chance To Visit Your Local Farm

Farms across the country will be open to the public on Sunday 10 June, which has been declared Open Farm Sunday. Organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) the day promises something for everyone, from nature trails to tractor rides, but most importantly the day will help to remind us all that farms do matter!

Literally hundreds of farms are inviting ramblers, birdwatchers, families and school children - in fact everyone and anyone who is interested in their environment - to come and find out more about how the food we eat is grown and produced.

Farmers are passionate about the environment and LEAF farmers in particular operate a special integrated system which helps to protect the wildlife on their property and the environment in which they live, whilst producing top quality food.

So pack up a picnic, pull on your wellies and visit your local farm on 10 June 2007 for a great day out!
