Life’s A Picnic For National Bread Week 2007

13th March 2007 Print
Now in its seventh year, Warburtons National Bread Week will be running from 7th – 13th May 2007, celebrating the ‘roll’ that bread plays in our daily diet. Throughout National Bread Week, Warburtons, the UK’s favourite family baker, will be launching picnic themed initiatives across the country to raise awareness of bread as a vital part of a healthy balanced diet.

Putting the fun into family picnics, Warburtons wants to encourage people to dine ‘al fresco’ and make the most of the great British outdoors!

Bread is deliciously versatile and is enjoyed by 96% of British households . It’s also low in fat and provides us with a significant part of our daily carbohydrate needs. White bread is a great source of calcium, iron and vitamins while wholemeal and wholegrain loaves provide a convenient way of incorporating more fibre into our diets.
