Home House Edinburgh Serves Up A Culinary Masterpiece

Home House Edinburgh, the prestigious private members club, has teamed the renowned culinary expertise of their consultant chef Martin Wishart and the artistic talents of popular contemporary artist Julie Franchetti for their forthcoming launch event – ‘art on a plate’ which debuts at the club on 19 July 2007.

This twinning of talents and fusion of palettes is the first of its kind for Scotland and the Picardy Place based Private Members Club. Edinburgh born, Julie’s will be showcasing her latest work the ‘Festival Collection’ at Home House Edinburgh between 20 July and 20 September 2007. The artist has created a range of canvases using her trademark vivid colours and featuring energetic original abstract designs and framed limited editions of her works, which will be displayed in the clubs contemporary surroundings.

Michelin starred Martin Wishart and Home House Edinburgh Head Chef Stuart Boyles will create a fusion of dishes with mouthwatering colours and flavours to reflect the artworks exhibited on the walls, which will be available to tantalise and excite visitors’ taste buds at the launch.

Franchetti has also been commissioned by Home House Edinburgh to extend the concept of art on a plate by creating a ‘one off’ menu cover to celebrate this dynamic fusion.

Although a private members club, non members will also have the opportunity to view the art exhibition on Tuesdays and Thursdays and are also able to book a table to dine at the Club’s restaurant.

In addition to the new summer menus, Wishart has introduced a special ‘art on a plate’ menu option which can be ordered throughout the duration of Franchetti’s exhibition.

The impressive private members club made its mark on Edinburgh when it opened its doors in March 2007. Centrally located in Picardy Place Home House Edinburgh is owned by Home House the exclusive members club situated in London’s Portman Square and known for its luxurious reputation.

Home House Edinburgh is open Monday from 07.30am to 12 midnight, Tuesday and Wednesday from 7.30am to 01.00am, Thursday from 07.30am to 02.00am, Friday and Saturday from 07.30am to 03.00am and closed on Sundays.
