Here Comes The Sundae On Saturday!

25th June 2007 Print
Sundae on Saturday Tickets for Ben & Jerry’s Sundae on Saturday 28th July are on now! With another great musical line-up, fairground attractions and, as ever, all the ice cream you can eat, Clapham Common is preparing to host the summer’s coolest festival. Guests on Saturday 28th July can look forward to an array of summer anthems and mellow tunes from a stellar line-up comprising The Feeling, The bees, Rumble Strips, Brakes, Kate Nash, Lucky Jim and The Lea Shore.

To add to the feel-good factor, this year Ben & Jerry’s Sundae turns Climate Neutral and aims to show people that tackling climate change can be done one scoop at a time. It is part of Ben & Jerry’s effort to take responsibility for its eco hoofprint at all levels from energy efficiency in factories to producing milk more sustainably. Proceeds from ticket sales will support a solar panel project in India.

From 12 noon ‘til 8pm lucky ticket holders will be treated to a whole host of diversions. Go-getting types can try their hand (sorry, foot) at toe wrestling and the coconut shy, while for the gourmets there’s Chunky Monkey’s banana stall and cow cookie icing. Well, you can’t take a trip down the helter skelter on an empty stomach.

Sundae offers the perfect excuse to sample more than 17 of Ben & Jerry’s flavourites. Tuck into Vanilla and Vanilla Toffee Crunch, flavours that taste that bit sweeter for carrying the Fairtrade stamp. And Queen fans can sample Bohemian Raspberry, a harmonious medley of creamy vanilla ice cream, chewy chocolate chunks and raspberry swirls. Choc that!

If you can’t make it on 28th July, don’t worry – Ben & Jerry’s Sundae has enough fun for more than one day! Check out Benjerry.co.uk for line up and ticket info for Sunday 29th July.

To get your hands on tickets, priced at just £8.75 plus p&p (£3.50) visit Benjerry.co.uk.
