Wimbledon Fever Served Up In Leicester Square

25th June 2007 Print
Haagen Dazs If you’re looking for a London hotspot to soak up Wimbledon fever this year, look no further than the Häagen-Dazs shop in Leicester Square. The luxury ice-cream brand is the official ice-cream of the Wimbledon Championships, and to celebrate this perfect match they will be transforming their flagship shop into the ultimate ‘tennis retreat’ for the duration of the Wimbledon tournament.

Artificial turf and tennis nets will replace the traditional terrace barriers outside the shop. As well as a treat for the eyes, you can also satisfy your taste buds with a specially created Wimbledon inspired menu.

The menu includes:

- Ice-cream creations including the Wimbledon Sundae, made with Häagen-Dazs Strawberries & Cream ice-cream, fresh strawberries and freshly whipped cream
- Thirst-quenching drinks, some with an alcoholic kick such as Strawberry Bliss or Pimms, the quintessential Wimbledon drink
- Mixed Doubles – a choice of any drink and ice-cream creation from the Wimbledon menu can be scooped up from £9.25

Ice-cream creations cost from £6.30. Drinks cost from £4.00. The Wimbledon Menu will be available in Häagen-Dazs’ Leicester Square Shop from 25 June – 8 July 2007. As the crème de la crème of ice creams, Häagen-Dazs contains less air than any other ice cream so its thick, rich texture melts more slowly in the mouth making the pleasure last longer.
