From Knightsbridge To North Yorkshire

10th July 2007 Print
From her base in Knightsbridge, Sally Hudson has designed and created bespoke celebration and wedding cakes for a trio of world famous stores; Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and Selfridges.

The sophisticated smart set of SW3 have now lost out, as Sally has relocated to Malton, and brought her considerable expertise and cake designs skills to North Yorkshire, a County which is rapidly becoming the UK’s major foodie destination.

That fantastic countryside showcase - The Great Yorkshire Show - is where you will find Sally this week. She has been inspired to create a magnificent cake to celebrate the launch of the new DeliciouslYorkshire Guide to Food and Drink in Yorkshire & Humber, for The Regional Food Group, which you can see when you visit the RFG stand.

“I took my inspiration from all the Yorkshire food heroes, the growers, producers, and even local chefs!” said Sally.

“I have had great fun creating this cake. Although it has sometimes been quite challenging modelling and moulding the cornucopia of fruits, vegetables, meat, beer - you name it - that represents the wide range of producers in the Yorkshire region, as well as incorporating the RFG logo” she added.

Sally will also be kicking off a line-up of lively tutorials and demonstration sessions, along with many other regional food group members, in the Deliciouslyorkshire Cookery Theatre, right across this fantastic 3 day event.

Sally Hudson of Dolce Vita Cake Design & Patisserie in Malton, will be showing you the art of cake design with a mouthwatering chocolate ganache creation
