Barford pub hosts three-day seafood festival The Granville at Barford will be exploring new sensational tastes of the ocean by holding a special seafood festival for three days from Monday 10 – Wednesday 12 August inclusive. During lunchtimes and evenings, customers will be able to enjoy a wide range of seafood delivered fresh daily.

Popular favourites, including tiger prawns, crab, baby squid, mussels and lemon sole, will be on the menu as well as more unusual fish dishes such as skate, oysters and lobster.

With different fish dishes served over the three days, including a “Fruits de Mere” platter for two and Oysters with Champagne, customers will be able to find a dish to suit every palette. A selection of white wines will be available to accompany the seafood with personal wine recommendations provided by the experienced staff.

Various studies have proved that the best sources of good fats, vitamins and minerals to promote good health can be found in seafood. Nutrition experts recommend that we should be eating a minimum of two portions of fish every week.

Seafood also provides important sources of omega-3 fatty acids that protect the body against heart diseases and help lower blood cholesterol levels.

Val Kersey, Proprietor, stated “We are delighted to be holding our seafood festival at The Granville at Barford. Seafood is one of the healthiest, most convenient and delicious foods available. I would highly recommend that people come along and try some of our mouth- watering fish dishes over the three days.”
