Melt In The Mouth Summer Recipes From Carte D’Or

The gorgeous Strawberry & Yoghurt Délice is made with deliciously smooth yoghurt ice cream, swirled with real strawberry sorbet, blended and topped with an indulgently fruity strawberry coulis.
Ice cream lovers can now indulge in this truly heavenly dessert in more ways than one by trying these delightfully simple recipes. Carte D’Or Summer Pimm’s Sundae and Carte D’Or Sweet Bruschetta are two tempting desserts not to be missed this summer!
Carte D’Or Summer Pimm’s Sundae
Serves 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
500g strawberries, sliced
50ml Pimm’s
1 tbsp caster sugar
2 tbsp finely shredded fresh mint
8 scoops Carte D’Or Strawberry and Yoghurt Délice
4 knobs of stem ginger, diced
4 tsp stem ginger syrup
1) Place the sliced strawberries in a bowl, with the Pimm's and the sugar. Mix well and leave to marinate for 5 minutes.
2) Divide half the marinated strawberries between 4 glasses and sprinkle with a little shredded mint.Top with a scoop of Carte D'Or Strawberry and Yoghurt Délice.
3) Repeat the layers with the remaining strawberries, mint and ice cream then sprinkle with diced stem ginger.
4) Pour over the stem ginger syrup and serve immediately.
Note: For a non-Pimm's sundae you can substitute with elderflower cordial.
Carte D’Or Sweet Bruschetta
Serves 4
Preparation/cooking time: 10 minutes
15g butter
2 tsp honey
4 slices fruit bread
2 medium mango, peeled and sliced
4 large scoops Carte D‘Or Strawberry and Yoghurt Délice
10g toasted flaked almonds
1. Melt the butter and honey in a frying pan and cook the fruit bread for 2-3 minutes on either side until caramelising and golden.
2. Place the fruit bread on 4 plates and top with the mango slices.
3. Serve with a scoop of Carte D’Or Strawberry and Yoghurt Délice and sprinkle with toasted flaked almonds.
