Ready Steady - Lesley's Out Of Time!

Ready Steady Cook favourite Lesley Waters has run out of time in the charity challenge to find Britain’s favourite British turkey recipe. Her recipe for Turkey Koftas, using red onion, red pepper and cranberries for colour, was judged by visitors to Britishturkey.co.uk , but failed to find enough voters to keep her in the contest.

It was a really close call, but busy mum Lesley was pipped at the post by rugby hero Matt Dawson, a patron of the children’s medical charity SPARKS, plus her Ready Steady Cook co-star celebrity chef Paul Rankin.

Members of the public are now being asked to pick their favourite dish from Matt’s mild turkey curry and Paul’s creation of a turkey and vegetable feast.

Matt, a keen amateur cook, is currently leading the field with his creamy turkey korma, but Paul Rankin is hot on his heels.

The only way now to keep Matt or Paul in the challenge is to persuade all your friends to try the recipes and vote until the winner is declared in the summer by compere Phil Vickery. Phil says: “The point of the challenge is to show you can enjoy British turkey anywhere, any time of the year. And because turkey is a superfood, it’s extra reason to get creative in the kitchen.”
