Eatsomewhere.co.uk Counts The Hits

Hits have jumped from 99,000 in February to 117,500 in June, and as the number of hits have increased so have the number of businesses registering.
Product manager Bev Freeman said: “Since we revamped the site we’ve had a huge influx of enquires from businesses keen to enhance their listing and take advantage of the spotlight page and online booking service we offer.”
All eateries in the UK automatically receive a free listing which includes an address and contact telephone number. Businesses can then pay to enhance their listing so it’s more prominently displayed and includes a logo and website address.
Restaurateurs also have the option to add a spotlight page – effectively a one page website which provides potential customers with detailed information such as opening times, price range and house specialties. It also allows owners to update information themselves to include seasonal menus, details of events and special offers.
Bev continued: “The spotlight page is a really useful tool, providing consumers with exactly the kind of information they want when considering where to eat. It’s particularly useful for independent eateries that may not have the time or resources to set up their own website.”
A final feature which has proved extremely popular with business and consumers alike is the site’s online booking service which is provided in conjunction with global online, real-time booking network Live Bookings.
Once a restaurant activates the service on eatsomewhere.co.uk, they are also automatically included on Live Bookings’ network of sites including lastminute.com, sugarvine.com, The Daily Telegraph and cityvisitor.co.uk.
