Sing For Your Supper! Autumn Lamb

28th August 2007 Print
Autumn Lamb Autumn lamb sets to be the hit of the season following the discovery of a unique palate pleasing performance from a man who names himself as the number one lamb fan. Forget Meatloaf, opera singer James Davey, has recorded a patriotic tribute to the dish of the season in the hope that others will join forces in singing for their supper and enjoying the fruits of our farmers’ labour.

The song, commissioned after coming to the attention of the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX), extols the virtues of autumn lamb, which following a summer of grazing of lush green fields develops a fuller flavour and succulent taste.

Now the challenge has been set for the nation to voice support and join in the chorus for the country.

James, the talented tenor, aims to spread awareness that autumn is the perfect season to get your teeth into great tasting local produce and build patriotic pride for our food amongst the public. By recording “Autumn Lamb” inspired by William Blake’s Jerusalem, James hopes to give others an appetite for one of our finest foods.

James says, “Not everyone knows that autumn is the season to really take advantage of lamb that has a delicious more robust flavour. I am a big fan of local produce and I wanted to encourage others to also taste the delights of farmers’ hard work.”

The song is being posted on media sharing sites for downloads including: Facebook.com – Profile name Lamb Man (just add as a friend)
