A cool new concept in food retail

Food Inc., the fun food market retail store, is to open as part of the re-branding of Whiteleys in May 2008. Created by Harvey Nichols Foodmarket and Restaurants founder Dominic Ford and business partner Pat McDonald, Food Inc. aims to delight customers by bringing ‘a restaurant approach to elements of food shopping.’

With its unique, modern, stainless steel and glass showcase design, Food Inc. promises to offer West Londoners an inspirational and creative food experience.

Food Inc. will be situated within the expansive ground floor of Whiteleys in London’s Bayswater, and will offer its customers the best selection of grocery, wine, delicatessen, cheese and dairy, bakery and special produce, much prepared in the onsite kitchens by Patrick McDonald and his brigade.

“Food makes people happy. Dominic has learnt that a long time ago and all his projects are an expression of this. In his places, the right mixture of exciting foods, colours, menus and materials make people surprised, but comfortable, relaxed and happy,” comments Vittorio Radice following his partnership with Ford McDonald to develop La Rinascente Food Halls in Milan, which opened in October 2007.
