Spectators can enjoy spotting the cars they remember from their youth amongst the many club displays, featuring a huge range of makes and models, including AC Cobra Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Ford, Jaguar, Lancia, Lotus, MG, Mini, Morgan, Panther, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Saab, and Triumph.
On-track action will be tremendous, with the HSCC reporting record numbers of entries for some races. Historic Formula One cars battling it out fiercely, plus support races for single-seaters of all shapes and sizes from Formula Junior up to Formula 3. The Festival is the highpoint of the year’s celebration of 50 years of Formula Junior, and, marking another anniversary, the HSCC is hoping to gather over 20 600bhp Chevy-powered Formula 5000s in one ear-splitting race. Classic saloons and sportscars due out on track include Porsche, Lotus, Jaguar, MG, Ford, Triumph and Morgan.
The open paddock will give spectators their own motor sport ‘museum’, complete with the sights, sounds and smells of the glory days of racing, and the Autoglym motorsports arena will feature a varied selection of racing cars, from the stunning Gigawave Aston Martin DBR9 to a Ford Model T-based dragster. There will also be five spectacular drifting displays.
