A passion for cheese in London London is now home to a wonderful new shop, La Cave a Fromage, offering the very best of primarily French and British cheeses. Owned by Eric Charriaux and Amnon Paldi who are both passionate about cheese and in particular some of the cheeses matured by their wholesale business, Premier Cheese, such as a 12 month old Berkswell and Cerney.

Based in South Kensington, La Cave a Fromage has a magnificent selection of cheeses selected with the benefit of years of experience working with the top UK restaurants and artisanal cheese producers. Eric & Amnon started their business, Premier Cheese in 1999 and supply cheeses from their depots to top restaurants around the UK including Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons and Tom Aitkens.

La Cave a Fromage is full of friendly and knowledgeable staff, all of whom have trained under the guidance of Eric & Amnon’s expertise and are inspired by their passion and years of experience. Customer service is paramount at La Cave a Fromage and the staff encourage customers to try any cheese on display.

The shop has a small seating area and customers are able to relax and enjoy a selection of cheese, bread and wine. Eric & Amnon will also be hosting tasting events for their customers to give the public the opportunity to find out more about farmhouse cheeses, where they are from, how they are produced and, most importantly, to taste cheeses that they haven’t tried before.

La Cave a Fromage is a West London food gem with wonderful cheeses to be experienced and explored. Located very close to South Kensington tube it’s easy to find and offers a fantastic range of beautiful, ripe, seasonal cheeses.
