Curry company in ‘cool’ new deal with Tesco

South Wales ready-meal producer, The Authentic Curry Company, is ‘hotting up’ freezer cabinets in Tesco stores across Wales.

The True Taste award-winning company is supplying Tesco with four frozen lines: Welsh Beef Casserole, Welsh Beef Madras, Welsh Lamb’s Liver & Onions, and Chicken Curry under its Authentic World Foods label.

The deal says Paul Trotman - founder and managing director of The Authentic Curry Company – is in addition to its existing range of chilled ready-meals available in Tesco stores and has resulted in more staff being taken on at the company’s base in Hirwaun.

“We are delighted to be supplying Tesco with our frozen meals, and their support has meant we have been able to create a number of new jobs,” he said.

The meals are available in freezer cabinets at 44 Tesco Extra and superstores throughout Wales.

The Authentic Curry Company was formed in 1995 and now produces 100 different dishes and employs 40 people at its base in Hirwaun.
